After 17 years working within the charity sector — as a Project Coordinator delivering funded community and environmental programmes, including several years focused specifically on M&E systems and grant compliance — I understand how challenging it can be for small organisations to balance meaningful delivery work with increasing funding requirements, reporting pressures and limited internal capacity.

Many organisations are doing valuable work within their communities but are often stretched for time, resources and specialist support. Monitoring systems can feel overwhelming, reporting can become stressful, and important processes are sometimes built around whatever works in the moment rather than what feels sustainable long-term.
